Welcome to Year 6!
Welcome to Year 6, a pivotal and rewarding year in your child’s primary education. Building on the knowledge, skills and independence developed in Year 5, pupils are challenged to deepen their understanding and apply their learning with confidence across the curriculum. Year 6 places a strong emphasis on responsibility, resilience and self-motivation, alongside refining key skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Through supportive teaching and high expectations, we prepare children both academically and emotionally for the transition to secondary school, ensuring they leave primary education as confident, capable and well-rounded learners.
