Hello and welcome to Year 1!
Welcome to Year 1! This is an exciting stage in your child’s learning journey, where we carefully build on the strong foundations developed in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). In Year 1, learning becomes a little more structured while still valuing play, exploration and curiosity. Children are encouraged to become more independent learners, develop confidence in reading, writing and maths, and deepen their understanding of the world around them. Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities and supportive guidance, we help children make a smooth transition from EYFS, ensuring they feel secure, motivated and ready to embrace new challenges.
